Hazelmere Vanita was originally imported from Australia and came to Hollybank Stud early in 2013.
She was a successful show mare in her own right and is also the dam of some very successful ponies including the Barastoc Champion Mirinda Miss Money Penny and the sires Mirinda Hand Painted and Mirinda Spycatcher, both big winners in Australia at Royal level, and the very special Hollybank Vienetta.
Hazel had her last foal at the age of 24 and then took on babysitting duties. She had an old injury to her shoulder/front leg when she arrived at Hollybank and it was a mission to keep her going in her later years. It eventually caught up with her and she was laid to rest in 2019 at the age of 26.
